A SWEET STUDIO
Here at Sounding Sweet our bleeding-edge facilities are what sets us apart from the competition. Our studios have been built from the ground up for a single purpose: crafting quality audio.
Muscular hardware and acoustic precision mean that every sound made, mixed, mastered or recorded at our premises is flawless. But it isn't just the equipment and architectural acoustics that make Sounding Sweet the ideal location for audio excellence.
The environment is also carefully considered to optimise creativity and performance. Bright, spacious and just homely enough, it is a setting that is comfortable and clear; perfect for directors, voice actors and engineers to find their flow and deliver at the top of their game.
THE CONTROL ROOM
Our control room is packed full of the hardware and software required for top quality audio, resulting in a space that is an audio professional's dream.
Our world-leading space features:
• A pair of PMC MB1 speakers
• A 7.1 set of Genelec 8040 speakers with a 7070a subwoofer
• A pair of Yamaha NS10 speakers
• A powerful 12-core Apple Mac Pro, running Pro Tools 11 HD software, which provides 60 channels of audio (in and out) via RME hardware
• Numerous slave computers providing additional processing power
• A large selection of native and UAD2 plug-ins, including many high quality EQs and compressors
• An AVID S3 Control Surface and a Yamaha DM1000 mixing desk
• A variety of MIDI input devices and keyboard controllers
All of that means you can be assured your game audio is being shaped by ideal, powerful and highly specialised tools and technology.
THE LIVE ROOMS
Whether we are recording voiceover, foley or ADR, our carefully soundproofed live rooms are built to capture every nuance. Big enough to house a live band, but still intimate for the solo actor finding their character voice, the live rooms are intrinsically linked with the technology of our control room, meaning absolute harmony between perforce and capture.
The live rooms are also fitted with video and audio fold back from the control room. That allows us to provide a visual feed and script to an actor trying to understand their character, or the likes of a ProTools feed to a foley professional keen to pursue precision.
And we can link our live rooms to remote control rooms when necessary. Equally, should your project require an orchestra or large choir, for example, we can provide access to larger recording volumes, perhaps overdubbing and refining back at our on-site facility.
"THE STUDIO SETUP
“The studio set up is fantastic and Ed is friendly, professional, enthusiastic and genuinely a pleasure to work with from prepping for the project through to delivery. I look forward to working with him again soon!”
